Equipment: piping bag, toothpicks, knife, cutting board, paper towels
Ingredients
- 12 strawberries
- 1/2 cup frosting (doesn’t have to be exact)
- 12 brownie bites
- Cocoa Puffs, Reese’s Puffs, Red Hots, etc.
Instructions
- Make your brownie bites unless you are using store-bought brownie bites. Use any brownie recipe and bake them in a mini-muffin pan to make the bites. Allow them to cool completely.
- Rinse and dry the strawberries.
- Slice the stems off the strawberries and make the cut as flat as possible.
- Place some frosting in a piping bag or zip lock bag with the corner snipped off. Add frosting to the top of each brownie bite.
- Add the strawberries on top of each brownie bite creating the “hats”.
- If the strawberry isn’t staying on, use a toothpick.
- Add frosting on the front of the brownie to create the beard.
- Place a Red Hot, Cocoa Puff or Reese’s Puff in the beard to make a nose.
- That is it, super easy. Enjoy!
NOTE: if you plan on making the brownies from scratch, make sure the brownies have cooled completely before assembling the gnomes. If needed, chill them in the fridge for a bit first.
TIP: If the strawberry keeps sliding off the brownie, you can use a toothpick to keep them in place. Just let your guests know if there is a toothpick in there.
