Banana Bread (No Mixer)

Ingredients

  • 3-4 ripe smashed bananas (NOTE: Ripen Bananas in oven on baking sheet with parchment paper at 300 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Banana skins turn black, but bananas are juicy. Makes moist banana bread) 
  • 1/3 cup melted butter 
  • 3/4 cup sugar 
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 1 1/2 cups flour 
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (Can make without nuts) 
  • Buttered 4” X 8” loaf pan 

Directions:

Mix butter into mashed bananas.  Mix sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over mixture and mix into bananas Add flour last and mix. Pour mixture into buttered 4×8” pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Check doneness with toothpick. Cool on rack
